By registering for an account, purchasing a service, submitting a listing or completing a transaction, you agree to the applicable terms presented to you during that process.

Individual KALXA products may have additional product-specific terms, payment conditions and onboarding requirements.

If you do not agree with the applicable terms, you should not proceed with the relevant transaction.

Changes to Terms

KALXA may update these Terms and Conditions as its products, services or legal obligations change.

Material changes affecting an existing contractual arrangement will be communicated where required by law or the applicable agreement. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights or statutory consumer protections.

Event Ticketing Terms

KALXA Ticketing provides digital tools that enable event organisers to create, publish and manage events, sell tickets and support QR-based ticket verification.

3.1 Ticketing Commission

KALXA's advertised platform commission is 4% per ticket sold.

The commission is calculated using the applicable ticket selling price, subject to the transaction's confirmed payment and settlement terms.

Example Transaction Amount
Ticket Selling Price R200.00
KALXA Commission (4%) R8.00
Balance Before Other Charges R192.00

The example excludes payment processing fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks and any other applicable transaction adjustments.

The responsible party for payment processing fees and the final settlement calculation must be disclosed through the applicable checkout or organiser agreement.

3.2 Event Organiser Responsibilities

Event organisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the events they publish.

  • Providing accurate event dates, locations and descriptions.
  • Displaying correct ticket prices, categories and availability.
  • Obtaining necessary permissions, licences and venue approvals.
  • Managing event operations, safety and access requirements.
  • Communicating event changes and cancellations.
  • Complying with applicable consumer protection laws.
  • Providing accurate business and payment information.

3.3 Ticket Buyers

Ticket buyers should review the event details, organiser identity, ticket price and applicable event conditions before payment.

Digital tickets may contain QR codes or other verification information used to confirm entry eligibility.

Buyers must not intentionally duplicate, manipulate, forge or misuse digital tickets.

3.4 Event Cancellation and Refunds

Event cancellation and refund obligations depend on the applicable transaction, the identity of the seller, the event circumstances and South African law.

Where an independent organiser is the seller of the event ticket, the organiser may be responsible for the event and applicable refund obligations.

KALXA remains responsible for any obligations it has expressly undertaken or that apply to it by law.

Additional information is available in our Refund Policy .

Featured Listings & Event Boosts

KALXA may offer optional paid promotional services for event organisers.

These may include Featured Event Listings, Event Boosts and other promotional placements.

4.1 Featured Event Listings

A Featured Event Listing provides additional visibility within designated promotional areas of the KALXA platform.

Placement, duration, availability and pricing must be confirmed before the promotional service is purchased.

4.2 Event Boosts

Event Boosts are optional promotional campaigns intended to increase the visibility of selected events.

Campaign pricing, placement and duration depend on the offering selected and the terms presented before payment.

4.3 Promotional Charges

Featured Listing and Event Boost charges are separate from the standard 4% ticketing commission.

KALXA will communicate the applicable promotional price and conditions before accepting a paid promotion.

4.4 No Guaranteed Results

Paid promotional placement does not guarantee a specific number of ticket sales, event attendees, impressions, enquiries or conversions.

Promotional services are subject to available placements, platform policies and the confirmed campaign terms.

4.5 Promotion Cancellation

Cancellation or refund requests for paid promotions will be assessed against the confirmed campaign agreement, services already supplied and applicable consumer protection laws.

The platform is designed to support content publishing, audience engagement and eligible monetisation through supporter contributions and other features.

6.1 Creator Plans

KALXA Creator offers the following advertised activation pricing structure.

Creator Plan Activation Fee KALXA Commission
Free R0 23%
Standard R100 once-off 3%

Standard and Premium activation fees are once-off payments, not monthly subscriptions.

Payment of an activation fee does not automatically include third-party domain registration, processing fees or other separately disclosed services.

6.2 Creator Revenue Sharing

KALXA's proposed revenue-sharing structure depends on the creator's active plan.

Plan KALXA Share Creator Share
Free 23% 77%
Standard 3% 97%

These percentages represent the proposed platform revenue split before payment processing fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks and other applicable adjustments.

6.6 Standard-to-Premium Upgrade

A creator who has previously paid the full R100 Standard activation fee may qualify to upgrade to Premium by paying an additional R50 once-off.

This represents the difference between the R100 Standard activation fee and the R150 Premium activation fee.

The discounted upgrade is available only after KALXA verifies the previous successful Standard payment using its payment records or authorised provider verification process.

An unverified, failed, cancelled, refunded or reversed Standard payment does not qualify for the discounted upgrade.

Custom domain support is planned for eligible Premium creators.

Domain registration, renewal and external service provider fees may be charged separately where applicable.

6.8 Creator Earnings

KALXA does not guarantee any particular creator income, supporter contribution amount, audience growth or content sales.
